A Civilian's Thoughts on Honor, Perspective, Healing: Clovis Veterans Memorial Film Festival 2017 Writer: Rachelle Bedwell In drawing, an artist will use the concept of perspective by showing the position of objects in relationship to each other by incorporating height, depth, and width. Perspective shows a point of view and adds increased meaning. I am a civilian. I have not served in the military. My two dimensional point of view on the military is drawn from history classes, books, documentaries, and movies with some essential depth added from veterans I know. My uncle was with the Air Corps and trained pilots in the Chinese Air Force who flew with the Flying Tigers. He was killed in 1942 flying a DC-2 out of China.
